  Quit Smoking Tips

Tip 11 :                                                                                          *Tips supplied by Quitnet.com

Keep your mind busy, especially on the weekend.

Find things to do with your mind. If you have something that occupies your attention, you can turn your thoughts away from the urge to smoke. With practice, people who are actively involved with quitting smoking get very good at finding ways to distract themselves. It can be as simple as focusing your attention on your surroundings. Try people-watching, or writing a shopping list, reading the paper or a book, or getting into a conversation. A telephone call to a friend, especially a non-smoking one, is often the best way to bypass cigarette cravings.
